We spent Saturday Letterboxing in Laura Ingalls Wilders birth place, Pepin WI. Lake Pepin is huge and is surrounded by quaint little towns. We stopped at the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum and got an age appropriate book then went out to her cabin. I read Addison a story about how Laura spent her summers in the big woods. She thought she was going to meet Laura at her house. She loved the tiny 3 room cabin. It's out in the middle of the country but has a steady stream of traffic in and out. Maybe part to do with the art show in the town or the great weather. The high was 72 with a breeze.
We did some letterboxing along the way. Got in around 5 to 6 miles of walking. One hike was trough the woods to the top of one of the bluffs overlooking the lake. It was beautiful. We found falcon feathers at the top and watched them flying above us at great speeds. All in all a great summer day. Hope you enjoyed your weekend too.
