Winter Carnival

First thing, I won a random drawing on Torendi. Go to their blog and become a follower and you can win too!

I know I've been a bad blogger the past few days. I think my hubby was feeling a little neglected, so when the relay at TGF was cancelled I packed up my class kits and headed down stairs to spend some time with him. I hope to get back to work tonight.
Today we went to the St. Paul Winter Carnival. Unfortunately the rain last weekend really took a toll on the sculptures. Many had fallen down or had lost a lot of their detail. Addison enjoyed the snow maze. It was so cold, by the time we got back to the car our fingers were frozen.
This morning we did the P90X day 1 workout. I hope to be able to lift my arms to craft by tomorrow. My arms and shoulders are hurting already, I bet tomorrow will be awful. I haven't done push up in years and had to do about 6 reps over the hour workout.

Hopefully I will have something new to show you tomorrow. Stay tuned!

Some Misc. and Happy News

First my happy news, I was chosen as the Eat Sleep Stamp Sketch Artist of the week. Thanks Tracy, you rock! Go check out her blog Eat Sleep Stamp, her work always inspires me.

Now for the miscellaneous. The first project was from my ATC club meeting in December. Ruthann showed us how to make these adorable vintage calendars using CD's. She was so generous in supplying us with everything we needed including an entire book of images from Crafty Secrets. I hung mine in my craft room.

Next are the 10 minute cards we made at the Shoebox Swap group I am subbing for. I like the idea of it being a 10 minute card since you have several to make in one night. It keeps it from becoming stressful. I didn't put the one I did in the picture, you can see it here.

You may be wondering what happened to The Greeting Farm Relay I was doing. Well they had to close it because they had so many people playing along that it kept crashing the server. I did still get 4 free digis, very exciting. I took last night to work on class kits for my upcoming class at Smudges on the 9th. Well I better get going, got to get the kid ready for school. Happy Crafting!

The Greeting Farm Valentines Class at Smudges

When: Feb. 9th, 6:00 P.M.
Where: Smudges in Chanhassen (952) 974-9885
Cost: $25
Bring: detail scissors and adhesive (I'll bring the chocolate)

We will make 3 Valentines cards and treat holder. So if your in the Twin Cities area please come join us for a fun night out. Call to reserve your spot today.

Farm Fresh Friday Challenge - Sunny Sendoff

This weeks Farm Fresh Friday challenge at TGF is to make a sunny card. It was hard to change gear and think summer. Pile it On is also having a warm wishes challenge, so this is a 2 for 1 card. I don't know about you but I could use some sunshine. We have a glacier of ice forming at the bottom of the driveway and tomorrows high is 13. This is when I miss southern Indiana, were 30 is frigid.

Funny things kids say: Today my 4 year old walked into my craft room and said "I'm going to call this the pretty junk yard." Out of the mouth of babes.

ATC's & Inchies

Yesterday was my monthly ATC club meeting. I made the ATC with the boy and his dog. The ATC with the girl is for another ATC group I'm in that we mail out cards to. The inchies are for the shoebox swap group I am subbing for. All were made with an old SU set called From the Heart. The DP is also SU. The little ticket is from MM.
DP: Stampin Up Candy Lane CS: SU Ruby Red, Pink Pirouette Stamps: SU From the Heart Copic: R00, R01, E50, E51, E93, R24, R27, E47, E49, E71, E74, E77 Tickets: Making Memories Love Notes
Yesterday Bella (our new puppy) came home. She is so sweet and such a good girl. I think I'm in love. My 4 year old is a little jealous of all the attention the puppy is getting. This will be a good test of if she should be an only child.

Picture This - Farm Fresh Friday Challenge

This Fridays FFF challenge at The Greeting Farm blog was to use a picture. I also threw in some flowers for the Anya Ink challenge. The butterfly border on the top is from Martha. The little stick pin flowers in the center of my Prima flowers are vintage findings from MM. It's hard to see but Flutterby Anya has glitter on her wings, there is also glitter on the DP.

2009 Album

Here is the 2009 album I made 4 of for Christmas. Sorry about the not so great pictures, I scanned them on my junkie scanner. Enjoy!
