The Altered Alice: Winner & Honorable Mentions. CHAPTER 17 - Hurrah for the Red, White & Blue

The White Queen gave a deep sigh, and laid her head on Alice's shoulder. `I am so sleepy?' she moaned.
`She's tired, poor thing!' said the Red Queen. `Smooth her hair -- lend her your nightcap -- and sing her a soothing lullaby.'
`I haven't got a nightcap with me,' said Alice, as she tried to obey the first direction: `and I don't know any soothing lullabies."
`I must do it myself, then,' said the Red Queen, and she began:

Hush-a-by lady, in Alice's lap! Till the feast's ready, we've time for a nap: When the feast's over, we'll go to the ball -- Red Queen, and White Queen, and Alice, and all!
-- Chapter 9, Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There

Last Day of Pre-K scrapbook page

I'm over 2 years behind on my scrapbooks.  This is from P's 1st year of pre-k.  I used October Afternooon paper, and the felt banner is from Martha Stewart from a few years ago.  Very simple page.

Summer Summer Summer Time

Did you think I fell off the face of the earth?  Seems that way.  We have been in full summer mode here and my craft room hasn't seen me in weeks.  So what have I been doing?  Well...........
a trip to Indiana to see my family
a trip to Antique Archaeology of the way home
trips to the beach
Dan Patch Days and the parade
4th of July of Prior Lake
blueberry picking
Lakefront Music Fest for the Rocket Club and Travis Tritt concert
and I'm even done with my back to school shopping (all but the shoes).
All of this plus 4 days a week of swimming, 2 days of park play group, and a handful of camps makes for one busy summer!

My project:
This month I made a scrapbook page.  I haven't made one in awhile and really enjoyed it.  I used the Alice stamp from Stamping Bella and cut around her hands that are really holding a tea cup.  I used a flag cupcake topper that fit just perfectly in her hands.  All the paper is from the October Afternoon Rocket Age line, along with the wonder card and buttons.  For the hexagons I used the My Favorite Things Hexagons die.  All the edges of the patterned paper have Antique Linen distress ink on them.  The border punches I used were Stampin Up Scallop Trim and Martha S. Cherish.
Copic:  E42, 43, 50, 51, 93
B91, 93, 95
