A few photos from Junk Bonanza and the Bachman Fall Idea House

Junk Bonanza
This is for my bff or my bbf (best bitch forever).  She always points out things that say ho, ho, ho and tells me they are talking about me.
 very cool lamp
If you go to anything held at the racetrack you must get their bloody mary.  It's like going to Disney and getting a dole whip.  The thing is a meal in itself and comes with a beer back.
Metal panels to look like books.
Cool seat, the lights even work.
This is made out of jewelry.
Bachman Fall Idea House
(didn't take my big camera this year, so not as many pics)
Cinder block sofa in the man shed.
Fairy Garden built into a dresser drawer.
 love this table

Lots of bottles and jars hanging from twine this year.  Almost every room had some.
Wood grain paneling created with paint roller.
 Rusty gate ceiling accent.

Mid-Century Modern Ottoman Redo

I found this ottoman at a yard sale.  It had the ugliest harvest gold vinyl but great legs.  I thought she deserved a little TLC.
One leg cap was missing and I paid more to replace it with a true vintage cap than I did for the ottoman.  I picked a black and white graphic print fabric and gloss black paint for the legs.
What do you think?

Another garage sale find - folding chairs recovered with oilcloth

Well summer is in full swing and so it garage sale season (LOVE!).  I volunteered at our school yard sale this week and found theses 2 chrome folding chairs for $3 each.
Not so cute, but had potential.  I thought oilcloth would be perfect with the chrome.  This whole project took me less then 1 hour to finish.
So now I have to super cute kitchy chairs.

Before & After: garage sale stool

Garage sale season has finally started here.  I found a gem today.  This vintage stool was at a church sale today for $2.  I knew I could recover that dirty old fabric.
When I paid for it the little old lady taking the money said it was one of her wedding gifts from 50+ years ago.

I took it home and disassembled it.  I found some old chenille fabric in my stash to cover it with.
Ta da!  Here she is...

Scrapbook Page: Preschool Photo

To make my crayon star I cut crayons in half and hot glued them to a scrap of paper.  I die cut my star and hot glued it all to the page.  I've never used hot glue on a page but with the bulk of the crayons I wanted it to stay together.

Scrapbook Page: Easter at the Zoo

On a few of the chicken coups I cut out a second coup and popped it up with pop dots.  You may see the shadow on the red, yellow, and pink one above.

Scrapbook Page: Easter

Totally cheated on this one, I already had it made.  This was from a Stampin Up club I was in years ago.  I smacked a few pictures on and called it a day, fastest page ever.

Scrapbook Page: Circus

The circus stamp set I used is from My Favorite Things.  I cut the title with my Cricut using the Carousel cartridge.  I found the vintage circus cards at a flea market.

Macy's Flower Show 2013

The theme of this years show was India.  This large elephant is the first thing you see when you enter.
Notice the lemons
I loved the umbrellas.
